Hello Hello,

To all you make you lovers out there, today i will be speaking about the top ten make up trends on the runway this season as i am looking for inspiration currently for my graduate collection shoot, i delve into the make up world and look through the top trends in the industry that are creating an artistic blast on the runways. ARTJust dipping a toe into the art-school trend? Fear not, the eyes have it. If you’re feeling painterly, look no further than the sunset-inspired gazes at Esteban Cortazar, stroked on by makeup artist Tom Pecheux in a gradient of marigold, tangerine, crimson, and azure. If monochrome is more your speed, Pecheux swept swaths of deep aureate pigment across the lids for the downtown girls at Saint Laurent. What’s more: Graphic black eyeliner doesn’t require as deft a hand. At Dior, Peter Philips drew on finger paint–like scribbles inspired by the show’s choreographer Sharon Eyal, for whom arbitrary tattoo-ish etchings are a signature, while at Dries Van Noten fluid rounded eyeliner shapes were capped by brightly colored feather headpieces. Elsewhere, glitter, gold foil, and choppy electric-hued bobs brought the drama—what better way to make your scene-stealing mark?

DARK LIPS "This season was all about the dark lip," declared makeup artist Pat McGrath, who broke out black lipstick early on at Fenty x Puma. And for the rest of the month, it remained clear that the darker the lipstick, the better. If makeup artists didn't reach for straight-up black (which they did quite a lot), it was deep shades of Bordeaux, prune, burgundy, or plum, painted on perfectly and sometimes coated with a heavy gloss. "The look is purely rebellious, but it's not grunge," said McGrath. As makeup artist Peter Philips put it, more like "luxuriously and decadently dark."

GLITTEREveryone loves a little glitter, don't they?" said hairstylist Guido. And while he was referring to the black glitter painted onto some of the models' hair at Marc Jacobs, his statement perfectly summed up the sentiment of the season. After concealer, the most popular product backstage was the sparkly stuff, which makeup artists painted on the lids, under the brows, down the cheekbones, and even in large swirls across the face.

SUBLIME SKIN

no more "cake face" as the make up artists of this season are portraying, bare skin, subtle skin enhancements and complete utter facial freshness. This trend is all about enhancing the natural features on your face. freckles, fine lines, pigmentation and blemishes are all considered beautiful and apart of life and who you are.

CHERUB CHEEKS

Some artists breaking away from the completely bare faces of seasons , other makeup artists loaded on blush in all its forms. They brushed powder high up on the cheekbones, dabbed creams strongly on the apples, and at Balmain, makeup artist Tom Pecheux mixed rosy highlighter with foundation and buffed it across the cheeks for a healthy, glowing complexion.

Hope everyone enjoyed reading and even learned a new tip! or trend you would like to try...at the end of the day rock these looks anywhere you want! Coles? so be it!

Have an artistic week!

Dxx
